Facilitated by Nancy Sylvester, IHM

“No dark fate determines the future - we do. Each day and each moment, we are able to create and recreate our lives and the very quality of human life on our planet.” ~His Holiness the Dalai Lama & Bishop Desmond Tutu, The Book of Joy
When it seems as if everything we thought we knew about how the world works is being turned upside down, we need grounding in something solid. This workshop explores contemplation as a solid, transformative practice that can help us keep the joy in our days.
Under the skilled facilitation of Nancy Sylvester we will hear stories of how this works and learn useful processes for responding with compassion to difficult circumstances. This is the antidote to alarming polarities, the path to deeper empathy and altruism, and a way to connect with those holding very different positions on issues. These are essential skills for a time such as this.
This program is sponsored by the Nazareth Association’s Dr. Marian Hankerd Speaker Series in Honor of Dr. Marian Hankerd.
Registration is $55 if received by October 5; $65 thereafter.
Includes lunch, materials, and the leadership of a nationally respected facilitator.
Please register by October 12.
Payment in full is due prior to arrival.
