Lives of Possibility: A Series on Inclusion
MaxAbility with Jeanne Hess
Location: St Thomas More Catholic Student Parish, 421 Monroe St, Kalamazoo, MI 49006
Tuesday, November 26; 7-8:30pm
Years ago, in a high school gym, Jeanne Hess was abruptly asked, “Who are you, and what are you here for?” The questioner was Max, a 13 year old on the Autism scale. She engaged his questions seriously, and by getting to know him she began to see possibility instead of disability in him and in the world.
She now shares, “I cannot imagine my life without Max, and without the window of possibility he opened on that fateful day in the bleachers.” Jeanne will share the story of this journey, and other wisdom from her soon-to-be released book entitled MaxAbility: Who Are You, and What Are You Here For?
All Events are free but registration is required.
Our programs on 'Lives of Possibility' are offered through a partnership between Transformations, St Thomas More Catholic Student Parish and the John E. Fetzer Institute whose mission is: "Helping build the spiritual foundation for a loving world."
